Bank 9 Jambi is a business unit owned by the Regional-Owned Enterprise (BUMD) of Jambi Province. Given that human resource development is pivotal to the province's regional development and considering the bank serves diverse customer segments ranging from individuals to businesses a proactive work attitude is essential. This study aims to analyze the impact of Perceived Organizational Support (POS) on proactive work behavior, both directly and indirectly through employee work spirit and work engagement at Bank 9 Jambi. The study population consists of 172 Bank 9 Jambi employees; the sample size was determined using Slovin's formula with a 5% margin of error, resulting in a sample of 120 individuals. A quantitative approach utilizing a survey method and Partial Least Square (PLS) data analysis was employed. The findings conclude that POS has a positive and significant influence on proactive work behavior, both directly and indirectly through employee work spirit and work engagement. This indicates that organizational support boosts employee work spirit and engagement, thereby fostering proactive work behavior. Employees who perceive care, appreciation, and support from the organization tend to exhibit greater work enthusiasm, driving them to take initiative, seek opportunities for improvement, and contribute more significantly to the achievement of organizational goals.
